Selectmen 5/14/08: two parts of three

59 min 19 sec
Reports from Beecher Road School, Public Works department (road paving bid), and the Conservation Commission's presentation of the CSA
proposal for the Massaro Farm property. [CSA = Community-Supported Agriculture]

59 min 21 sec. Massaro Farm presentation continues. Audio drop-out during the Historical Society segment is accidental, due to our unfamiliarity with new equipment.

As of 5/19, part three of this meeting is not yet available; the 8 hours devoted to processing and uploading that 1:31 segment ended in "Failure" on the Google site. Will try again next week.

Education - 4/28/08 - in two parts

click on the blue letters...

Part One: 59 minutes
The April meeting was rescheduled to avoid conflict with the 4/21 town budget hearing. Discussion of proposed move of the superintendent's & business offices to Beecher South, making room in the Center building for other town offices but displacing the Recreation Dept. This meeting had been edited to one, smooth 1:45 program, but it could not be uploaded to Google in that size.

Part Two: 43 minutes
Discussion of proposed office moves continues. This topic was also discussed by the Recreation Commission, which met the same evening at the other end of the building. A recording of that meeting was sent to the Woodbridge library & may be played occasionally on Woodbridge's channel 79 in the next few weeks.

CUPOP - 4/3/07

34 minutes
The Commission on the Use of Publicly Owned Property seems to be unique to Woodbridge, at least in my limited experience. They are a standing commission with members appointed by the Selectmen, but I gather from the conversation here, their charge seems to be advisory only. True confession: for years, I thought the name of this body was Cool Pop. It took several more years to find out what the acronym stood for.

Click on the pictures to get to the videos.

Part One:
55 minutes
We had difficulty getting this video online. There is a problem with fading audio (strong whenever we turned the mic one, nearly inaudible by the end) due to a dying battery.

In this segment: special citations to town employees of long standing, Dwight Rowland on fire house change orders, Supt. Guy Stella reporting for Beecher, Warren Connors on upcoming road work, Dan Russbach on local veterans and Memorial Day, a high school student on her plans for a Darfur Awareness event at the gazebo, and Chris Sorenson on the new Public Works facility. There was a brief recess before public comment

Part Two (67minutes) goes from recess to the Clean Energy report by Jon Gorham, thru regular monthly business, up to an executive session with insurance agent Brian Luciani. After executive session, monthly business, appointment for an Inland Wetlands vacancy, and liaison reports. The microphone battery was replaced after this meeting
