  • Selectmen 8/14 regular meeting - 1hr 16min
    • Saturday, August 17 @ 12noon
    • Sunday, August 18 @6am, 6pm
That program is already on YouTube, as several people have already found.
The borrowed programs following BOS meeting this weekend come usually from government agencies.

  • "Energy Week" from Brattleboro Community TV - 1hr
  • "Medicare and Hospitals" from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid -  30min
  • "Perils for Pedestrians" by John Wetmore, who seems to travel a lot, also about bicycles and municipal planning - 30min
  • "Strata: Portraits of Humanity" from the Archaeological Legacy Institute - 30min

The next Wednesday

Oh, that's today, isn't it?
First and probably sole live meeting of the month

  • LIVE Board of Selectmen @ 5pm
This will probably be briefer than usual, with no reports from the Administrative Officer/Finance Director, Asst. Admin. Officer, or Town Counsel.  Lots of resignations and appointments at the end.
Find the agenda here.

Notes on Tuesday

As we did during most of this summer, we scheduled programs around meetings of the Inland Wetlands Agency and Conservation Commission, with occasional outside programs related to open space, conservation, energy and environment.  We prefer programs produced by government agencies for our channel, but a few public access programs have appeared that are relevant:

  • "Energy Week," a one-hour show from the Brattleboro Community TV in Vermont
  • "Perils for Pedestrians," a half-hour program by an independent producer whose original location we have not yet ascertained. The program travels to different places in US and abroad.
  • "Science 360: Dispatches from the Cutting Edge," a science news magazine in half-hour or one-hour versions, produced by the National Science Foundation

For this Tuesday, August 6

  • 8:30am - a visit to the CCW golf course, the August 2015 meeting of the now-defunct Country Club of Woodbridge Commission
  • 9:15am - a visit to the CCW clubhouse, a special joint Selectmen-Finance meeting, 10/15/15
  • 9:45am - 11/28/18 special BOS - first presentation of two proposals for partial residential development on the CCW property
  • 11:30am - 12/17/18 special BOS meeting in the Center Gym - two proposals, slightly modified, for public comment
  • 2pm - 06/04/19 special BOS - to make a final recommendation to the Town about a proposal
  • 3:30pm - 6/19 Inland Wetlands
  • 5pm - 6/20 Conservation
  • 6pm - 7/18 Conservation
  • 7pm - 6/19 Inland Wetlands
  • 8:30pm - 6/20 Conservation
  • 9:15pm - 7/18 Conservation
  • 10pm - "Energy Week" for 07/01/19
  • 11pm - "Dispatches from the Cutting Edge"

The recordings of the Amity Board of Ed do not translate well to television.  When new meeting programs are again available, we will schedule them on Tuesdays & the weekend, as before.

Summertime on 79

Remember that the tab above labeled "When is it on?" will give you an inkling of what's playing on most weekdays.  We are resorting to summer reruns, since meeting schedules are subject to rearrangement for other people's vacation. And the coordinator will take one, too. Here are a few highlights for the upcoming weeks:

Thursday, July 18
  • Expecting Board of Finance to go LIVE @ 6pm, but the meeting will be brief since not all new members are able to attend.
  • Also, Conservation Commission may be LIVE @ 7:30pm, welcoming some newly-appointed members.
  • We will probably have the BOF meeting on YouTube almost immediately, but (for technical reasons) not Conservation.  Both will be available on channel 79 after August.
This coming weekend
  • We'll show the usual cycle of recent meetings (June-July), including the 7/15 Woodbridge Board of Education meeting @
    • 12:30pm on Saturday, July 20
    • 6am and 6pm on Sunday, July 21
    • Mondays @ 12midnight, 6am, 6pm, 9:30pm (7/22, 7/29)
    • Sorry, the audio on this recording is less than optimal.
Next weekend, July 27-28: A cycle of meetings related to the Country Club of Woodbridge property.
