Attention, insomniacs!

Programming government meetings is like sending out messages in a bottle into the Long Island Sound--we do not usually hear back from viewers. The exception is the person (usually a guy) who reports that he could not sleep one night and found something remarkable on channel 79 as he surfed thru the night.

Because we get those reports, we want to warn those people of a message we received from the Cablevision representative to our cable advisory council:

Please be advised that on October 1st and October 2nd Cablevision will be performing maintenance in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford and Milford which will cause outages for customers between the hours of 1 am and 6 am.

Due to a CT DOT railroad project Cablevision must relocate its fiber in certain areas. We are notifying you in case you receive any complaints.

Please know that Cablevision normally performs any routine maintenance, service upgrades and/or repairs during those hours which usually affects a minimal number of customers.

We do not expect this to last past October 2nd, however if further service is required you will be notified of any additional outages.
